Marjourie Lopez, a senior at Shadow Hills High, took third in the girls varsity Sundown Showdown race at the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational, clocking 17:17.9 on the 3-mile layout at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. Lopez eclipsed the 18-minute barrier for the first time, helping Shadow Hills finish 17th overall with 317 points.
