Matthew Donis, a senior at Highland High in Palmdale, won the boys varsity Sundown Showdown race at the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational by clocking 14:36.8 on the 3-mile Pomona Fairplex course in Pomona, Calif. Donis contributed to Highland finishing 20th overall with 473 points.
