Emmanuel Hernandez and Emmanuel Perez, both juniors at Cathedral High in Los Angeles, secured second and fourth place in the boys varsity Sundown Showdown race at the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. Hernandez covered the 3-mile layout in 14:50.4 and Perez clocked 14:54.2 for the Phantoms, who placed second overall behind Great Oak by an 86-127 margin.
